Be who you are!

"Not looking for a war, I turn around, drive out of town..."

You can’t base your life on others expectations.

I recently stumbled upon this man on Facebook who was traveling through a small town because he heard they had good pizza, and because he didn’t “fit in,” the locals called the police on him. His words:

“He says, “Look, I’m sorry but folks around here are a little skittish, what with all the homeless folks, but I want to remind you, we’ve got a law against sleeping in your car around here, a no parking or overnight camping law.”

I say, “Ok.”

He lets me go.

Not looking for a war, I turn around, drive out of town, skip the pizza, didn’t spend money at your local business, and find a pizza shop 20 miles up the road. “ - Matthew Berdyck

This was the conversation he had with the cop that pulled him over, just because he didn’t fit in that little town. Which is a shame.

I share this story because I feel like we can all relate to some extent. We are not the opinions others have of us, we are US. We weren’t meant to fit it. So don’t ever let someone else’s expectations of you make you feel less than who you are!
